Srinagar, Mar 02 (KNO): The budget session of the Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly will begin on Monday with the Lieutenant Governor’s address to the House. According to the list of business scheduled for March 03, a copy of which is in possession of the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the budget session will begin tomorrow at 10:00 AM with LG Manoj Sinha's address to the House. This will be the second address by LG Manoj Sinha to the House within a period of less than four months. On November 4, the LG had also addressed the House. Half an hour after the LG’s address, the Speaker will lay a copy of the address on the table. Following the laying of the report, the Speaker will announce the names of the panel of chairmen. The House will then take up an obituary reference on the demise of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Syed Ghulam Hassan Geelani (ex-minister), Shamsher Singh Manhas (former MP), Ghulam Hassan Parrey (ex-MLA), and Choudhary Piara Singh (ex-MLA). As earlier reported, the budget session is expected to be stormy with BJP and Kashmir-based opposition parties set to corner the ruling alliance on a gamut of issues ranging from Article 370 to electoral commitments made by National Conference in its manifesto. While Peoples Conference president Sajad Gani Lone has submitted a resolution seeking condemnation of abrogation of Article 370, Art. 35A, PDP, NC and AIP legislators have brought bills on alcohol ban, reservation and regularization of land—(KNO)
